Welcome
Hi there! My name is Sapphire Knowles. As I entered my freshman year of college in the Fall of 2012 I had an undeclared major. I had so many passions and interests. As many of us realize, mothers do know best and mine is no exception. She suggested looking into Speech-Language Pathology. I soon discovered it accumulated many of my passions. I began my degree at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln and absolutely fell in love. In 2014-2015 I served a full-time service mission. This only increased my desire to strengthen and provide service to the most important unit, the family. I finished my degree and graduated from Brigham Young University, Provo in April 2017.
My passion for the speech field grew as I was married and moved to Washington State. There, I met Noralee Green, a local SLP. She shared with me this visual phonics program. My love of the simplicity and empowerment the program provided for families inspired me to make it more accessible to the parents. My goal in creating this website is just that; to allow parents to feel enabled in their own homes in the speech progress of their children.
This website was created in 2018. Since then, I have graduated in 2021 from Emerson College with my degree and am a licensed Speech Language Pathologist as well as a mother. I continue to utilize this program with clients, while volunteering and serving in my community, and with my own kids. While I no longer update it frequently, I hope the education and tools found here continue to benefit and serve families and caretakers.

Outside of the speech field I also have a deep love for ice cream, audiobooks, and being outdoors.
